  4. Take a vessel add the mixture,  teppal (2 whole), kokum pieces and good quantity of water in order to form a gravy like consistency or consistency as you wish.  When the mixture comes to a boil add the potatoes and salt to taste.
  5. Boil it for couple of minutes. Our gravy is ready to be served with rice.
  6. You can even do one variation to this recipe if you are a non-vegetarian. Instead of potato you can add fish pieces. Just keep in mind that you add fish pieces when the mixture is half boiled or else fish will be over cooked and mushy. Cook the gravy till the added fish pieces are cooked.
